2020 Round Up

In the end I only managed the one camping trip away this year due to the Covid-19 restrictions. I was set for a trip to County Durham in September but the week before I was due to go they went into enhanced restrictions, common sense said to stay at home. 

The only ‘van news since then was a full service with various additional work to the brakes. It was no surprise that the front discs were shot, sorting on the drive virtually unused for several months finished them off! In the end I did around 2,400 miles all year. 

Plans for 2021 will have to remain fluid as we just don’t know what’s going to happen. I will be looking for a few places to book on the basis that I may have to cancel them later. I’ll deviate from my usual method of starting with the heritage railways as many are either not open or you have to book a whole compartment; I am looking at places with railway cycle trails instead.
